Well, I wouldn't recommend having a park event over Memorial Weekend but May 16th is Armed Forces Day... That could be an interesting theme!

Hey there's plenty of parks to hold an event. I would say most require a permit to hold a shelter. Some places require $200 deposits depending on the city.

Segerguy has been donating homemade hiking sticks to various events lately. They are really cool looking and I will have to go find a pix and post it.
