High Density Cache Areas Empty High Density Cache Areas

Post by WestwardHo Tue Apr 14, 2009 1:50 pm

I see there is an ongoing technical problem with the site, so I will recap what I commented on earlier to a post by jshults:

3 areas that I know would be a cinch to pick up 100+ caches in a single day are:
    Redlands, Lancaster and Palm Springs

High Density Cache Areas Empty Original Question on WHERE some SPECIAL 100+ clusters are found

Post by jshults Tue Apr 14, 2009 2:50 pm

I was looking for people to comment on some specific places to go for fast 100+ power runs.
EX: I remember hearing there was a town NE of SoCal area that you can just go up and down and up
and down the streets and kill 100 in no time.

    Correction, Palmdale.

    From my geocaching profile

    13 May 2006
Today I broke my personal best record and found 105 caches in one day in Palmdale, Ca.
Started the day at 5:20am and ended at 8:20pm. Taking a 1-1/2 hour break for the AV Geocachers Event.

It's not "a quick 100" by any means, it require planning not to mention the time it takes to get in and out of your vehicle, search, find and sign the log... no such thing as a quick 100 caches.

Also there is Porterville. Which is what I think John is talking about. Check out this map.
